For millennia they have been our strength, our providers, our heroes, our protection, our warriors, our guides, our buddies, our leaders, and our stronghold. We have admired their courage and stamina and perseverance in times of trouble and difficulty. They have fought for us, died for us, and they strive to live for us. They have gone to war for us, bravely traversed new lands for us, and spend many hours a day working and slaving away to supply daily provisions for us.

Father’s Day cards can be given to other exceptional men in your life besides fathers. Father’s Day is a day to reflect on all the men that have had an influence in your family’s lives. Some men might have taken the role of adopted dad. Others may have been a type of grandfather to you or your kids. Yet others still may have been a kind of brother in time of need.
